Club 5 Alpine Ski Classics
Club5 Alpine Ski Classics is an association of classic FIS Ski World Cup venues that originally came together to share knowledge of race organisation and marketing in a bid to further improve their races, venues and increase their finances and revenue.
The brainchild of French sports journalist Serge Lang, Club5 was originally formed in 1988 from the 5 (hence the name) classic downhill venues in Europe, namely Garmisch, Kitzbuhel, Wengen, Val Gardena-Groden and Val d'Isere, it has risen in numbers over the subsequent years and now stands at 17 venues.
