2013 Women's Downhill Race - Alpine Skiing World Championships Schladming
Marion Rolland was the surprise winner of the women's downhill at the World Championships
in Schladming, as the Frenchwoman took advantage of an open race following the withdrawal of
Lindsey Vonn following her injury. Italian Nadian Fanchini continued the surprises by taking silver
whilst Maria Hoefl-Riesch continued her fine championship form by following up her Super-Combined
gold with bronze, as she did in Garmisch two years earlier.
