Probably second only to Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Italian style stakes, Madonna di Campiglio is a classy little resort hidden away in the Brenta Dolomites. Don't be put off by the fur-coat brigade, it's not as pretentious as the some of the upmarket resorts in other Alpine areas and if you're an intermediate skier you'll be in heaven as this is a cruisy-blue paradise.

Getting There

By Air:

If you're coming in by plane then the nearest airports are :

By Rail:

Unfortunately, for fans of rail travel, Madonna has no train station.
The nearest stations are:

arrow  Male (15 miles / 25 km)
arrow  Trento (45 miles / 70 km)

Male is a station on a small railway from Trento to ... You can get a train to Trento from Verona. The goods news is that Verona is quite a major station and you can get trains to it from Paris (including an over-nighter).
