When it comes to ski resorts, Austria has a great mix of just about everything. In fact, about the only thing it hasn't got is the mega-resorts that France can boast, but seeing as though that often equates to ugly, purpose-built carbuncles, then that's probably a good thing.
What Austria does have is lots of traditional resorts with great history, areas with great snow records, plenty of family-friendly skiing, good value and, last but by no means least, resorts that have re-invented themselves for the younger market and offer some of the most ferocious après-ski in the whole world !
